Halo Purely for Pets Becomes Official Sponsor of Freekibble.com’s New iPhone Application
Halo to Donate 1,000 Pieces of Kibble for Every ‘Kibble Katch’ iPhone App Purchase
NEW YORK, NY, November 30, 2009 – Halo Purely for Pets (www.halopets.com), a leading producer of holistic pet care products, announced today its official sponsorship of Freekibble.com’s first iPhone application (www.freekibble.com/katch). On December 1, 2009, Freekibble will launch ‘Kibble Katch,’ a game where playing results in the donation of additional Halo food to animal shelters. Upon launch of Kibble Katch, Halo promises to donate 1,000 pieces of kibble per purchased application (four full and nutritious meals), to Freekibble.com to donate to shelters dogs.
On April 1st, 2008, Mimi Ausland, a 13 year old girl from Bend, Oregon, launched Freekibble.com, a site that donates kibble for every participant in its daily trivia challenge. Since then, Mimi has been featured and interviewed on multiple television shows for her philanthropic efforts and love of animals including the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and was named the ASPCA Kid of the Year.

‘Kibble Katch’ is easy and fun: Simply move the bowl and ‘katch’ the kibble falling out of the sky. Catch between 20-50 pieces each play – the more you catch, the more tricks the pup will do. When you've caught 250 pieces of kibble, just click to "send" and a full meal is sent to Freekibble.com to feed hungry dogs.
